If you missed the Shek O Da Jiu festival (石澳太平清醮), you still have a chance to know more about this festival by visiting the Tin Sam Village in Sha tin!
The Da Jiu festival in Tin Sam Village (田心村太平清醮) is held every 10 years. Da Jiu (打醮) is a Taoist ritual and festival asking for peace from Taoist deities. The Tin Sam Village Da Jiu festival has more than 50 years of history. Tomorrow will be the last day of the festival. Make sure you spare some time if you would like to know more about the festival. You are also highly recommended to watch the Chinese opera in bamboo theatre at 1:30 pm and 7:30 pm. Locals and tourists are welcomed to join which is opened for free.
